That’s just how we roll

Posted by Picasa

This picture is so sad. Peanut was turning 7 here. She had a big party at the roller rink. We had all just finished singing “Happy Birthday.” We were waiting as she made her wish.

Then the Detective leaned in and told her to hurry up and blow out the candles.

Then the tears started. It was so sad.

He tried to rush her moment. And she cried. It was terrible. She was really upset. Then the Detective was really upset for making her so upset.

It may have been the first time that he really disappointed her. Not a great moment.

But in true 7 year old fashion, she got back on her skates and continued on.

I was close to getting eye srguery, & then noticed i was developing presbyopia on top of my myopia, so in a couple of years i would need glasses again anyway. I’ve been thinking for years about a tattoo, but like you, have not settled on a design. I am trying really hard to not think about what the BP spill is doing to the Gulf coast. I wish i could extract my own drama from my mind and leave it in a trashcan someplace. Brunch rocks. Occationally some friends of mine foster a litter of kittens to socialize them for adoption, and visiting them when they do that is the awesome. And being appreciated, yeah.

I can’t believe you still make her wear that hat on her birthday. Maybe that’s the real reason why she was crying.

You have anything to add? Please do.
